Shawn Colena, Director of Culinary

Having grown up in Marlboro, MA and now residing in Hudson, Shawn's love for cooking extends over 35 years. He began his career at a well-known local family restaurant while still a student of the Culinary Program at Assabet Valley High School. He went on to attend the Culinary Institute of America in New York, graduating at the top of his class.

Shawn then became the Executive Sous Chef at the famous Jimmy’s Harborside Restaurant in Boston at age 20. Over the years, he's broadened his industry expertise by being lead chef at large corporate events, winning multiple awards for his delicious New England clam chowder, chili, and ribs. He brings a vast knowledge of many cooking styles from "Classic Cuisine" to everyone's favorite comfort dishes—creating a variety of scrumptious and memorable creations for the residents here at Artisan at Hudson.

When he's not making meals for residents, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife Jodi and their three adult sons. He loves to ride his motorcycle, and has a passion for fast cars and visiting tropical destinations in order to try out new delicacies.
